Last night, Legacy alum Nic Claxton was chosen with the 31st overall pick (1st pick of the 2nd round) of the NBA Draft by the Brooklyn Nets.
This past season, Claxton completed his sophomore year at the University of Georgia. He averaged 13 ppg, 8.6 rbpg, 2.5 bpg, 1.8 apg, and 1.1 spg last season while earning 2nd Team All-SEC honors. The 6-foot-11 forward had a great showing at the NBA combine and at individual workouts with many NBA franchises.
While at Legacy, Claxton was a 1,000 point scorer and led the Lions to their first USA National Prep Championship in 2017. Legacy is very proud of Nic and wishes him the best as he embarks on his professional basketball career.
