Lions News · Lions Win USA National Prep Tournament, Sweep Teays Valley

Tonight, the Lions won the USA National Prep Tournament Championship by beating #23 Teays Valley for the third time this season, 55-44. The Lions were led by Jayln McCreary’s 18 points and numerous, thunderous dunks that made the crowd stand on their feet. Chase Claxton continued his defensive prowless by shutting down multiple shooters for Teays Valley. Dearon Tucker and Rodney Howards’ post play proved too much for Teas Valley to handle, while guards CJ Jamison and Kaleb Mack controlled the ball on offensive throughout the game. With the win, the Lions have now won the USA Nationa Prep Championship twice in 3 years; finishing the season with a 34-5 record.

Legacy thanks all of the scollar athletes, especially our seniors, for their hard work this season. Their countless hours in the classroom and on the court have had a great impact on Legacy Early College. Also, thank you to the coaching staff for their dedication to developing our players as scholars and athletes.
